First Week of Build 2 and finding time around the Easter Holiday

Time is hard to come by, so we need train smart and at times compromise. Easter weekend was going to be one of those times to comromise. Andrea and I were determined to ride on Saturday, but were fairly certain that Sunday would be almost impossible due to travel between parents. In general our endurance is fairly strong so missing the long E2 (endurance) ride on Sunday would have a minimal impact on training. We therefore forcuseed on Saturday and each had strong rides, performing Anaerobic intervals.
The results for Andreas ride was simply amazing. She was able to hold nearly 19.5 mph (250 watts) for each of her 5 4 minute intervals. That's 4.8 watts/Kg which is great for a women cyclist. My ride went well, but I pushed it a little too hard in the beginning and fell off a little by the last interval.
Next week we will be entering the second week of the second build phase of training with six weeks remaining before the first MNSCS series race.
